Up & Running Design was established in Bismarck, North Dakota in 2013 with the vision of simplifying the web design process for small business owners and non-profit entities. Our hybrid team of remote professionals provides custom web development and graphic design services for clients across the region. We have refined our process across hundreds of projects to deliver professional, high-impact output on time and at an affordable rate. As a small but mighty agency, we work on a select number of projects, so our focus is always on you!

Meet the founder
Up & Running Design Co. is owned and operated by Mike Renner, a native to the Bismarck/Manda area. With over 15 years experience in marketing, communication, and design, he loves working with purpose-driven small businesses and non-profits. Outside of his profession, Mike is a father and husband who loves spending time with family and friends. He has served on the board of several non-profits in the area including Citizens of the World and the Erickson Merkel Foundation. He is also active in the arts, assisting with the Dakota Digital Film Festival in years past and contributing to the Bismarck Art Alley as a featured muralist. Currently, he is living in West Virginia, as part of an innovative remote worker program. He also loves cycling, wilderness backpacking, and photography.
